Frequently asked questions
What does a taxi platform cost?
That depends on which components you need. The configurator starts at a basic application of €1.499, and a complete transport platform with dispatch, driver app and invoicing is more work than that basis. You tick what you want in the configurator and see the amount before you commit to anything. On top of that runs the platform subscription for hosting, maintenance and updates.
Why wouldn't we just use an existing system?
For some companies that is fine. It pinches on two points. Existing transport apps take a share of every ride, which adds up fast at a few hundred rides per week, and the customer is their customer there. Standard dispatch packages charge per vehicle per month and are set up for the average taxi company, while your contract transport has its own requirements. With us you pay once for the build and then hosting and maintenance, and the platform carries your name.
Does this work with our on-board computer and taximeter?
The platform does not replace your on-board computer, because that is legally required and records driving and rest times. We do keep track per vehicle of when the inspection expires and can put the ride data side by side. Whether a direct link with your brand of on-board computer is possible we find out before we start, because that differs per supplier.
Can we also plan healthcare and school transport with this?
Yes, and that is usually exactly the reason to build. Fixed routes sit on a planning board with blocks per vehicle, so you see where in the day there is still room for a one-off ride. The ride log records per client what was driven, in the form the client wants to see back in the claim.
How do passengers pay?
In advance in the app through iDEAL, by card in the car, in cash or on account for your business customers and contract parties. For a ride on account the amount goes on that company's monthly invoice, under the right cost centre.
Do our drivers need a separate device?
No. The driver app works on the phone they already have, on Android and iPhone. If you want fixed tablets in the car, that is possible too; it is the same app.
How do you handle the tariffs?
Your tariff card is a setting instead of fixed code. Base fare, price per kilometre and per minute, surcharges and fixed airport prices you set yourself. For the street market national maximum tariffs apply that change every year. We set your card to your tariffs at the start, and you check those amounts at the source.
Can we also do the schedule, the cash and the administration with it?
Yes, that is exactly the point. Next to the dispatch centre it includes a customer database, a schedule with staffing per shift, the daily sheet and cash settlement per driver, invoicing per client and reporting over week, month and quarter. Because it all runs on the same ride log, nobody has to retype figures and the overview always matches what was really driven. Which components you want right away and which later is up to you.
Can we migrate our existing customers and rides?
Usually, yes. Customers, addresses, fixed rides and outstanding invoices come from your current system or from an export in Excel. We agree in advance which fields come along and do a test import, so you see what lands before you switch. What cannot be brought in we name as well, because a half-migrated administration is worse than none.
How long before we can drive with it?
Count on a number of weeks, depending on the components you choose. We deliver in steps: first the flow of rides you need every day, so booking, assigning and driving. Then contract transport, invoicing and the integrations. That way you drive with the platform while the rest is added.
