Fictional design example

  • On your own producer's die line

We design directly on the file your printer supplies, with the bleed and the fold lines where they expect them. Nothing has to be shifted or rebuilt afterwards.

  • No die line yet? We draw one

Tell us which size, contents, closure and material you want, and we make the technical construction drawing the printer can work from. That costs €99 on top of the design.

  • The back is planned from the start

Ingredients, allergens, net quantity, barcode and best-before date need space and legibility, and that almost always pinches at the last moment. We design that side around them from the first sketch. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the content.

See and try for yourself

This is what it looks like when it is done.

This is what a developed packaging design looks like: the front, the back with the mandatory texts and the die line underneath, exactly in the form in which it goes to the printer.

  4. One system for your whole line

With three flavours or sizes we build one structure with its own colour or image key per variant instead of three separate designs. The first variant is included in the price, every next one costs €49.

  5. See how it looks before it is printed

A cut-out packshot for your product page costs €49, a 3D visual with several views €99. With those you can already sell or pitch your packaging while the run still has to be ordered.

THE SERVICE IN PRACTICE

What can this service do for you?

Packaging can go wrong in two places: on the shelf, where nobody picks up your product, and at the printer, where your file turns out not to fit the die line. We tackle both. You tell us what is inside, who it is for and where it is sold; we design the front and back on the die line your producer uses. No die line yet?

Then we draw one too, with the cut and fold lines that go with your size, contents and closure. All mandatory texts you supply get a fixed place, from ingredients and allergens to barcode and best-before date. You receive a print-ready PDF plus a flat view on which you see what goes on which panel.

Frequently asked questions

What does packaging design cost?

That depends on the type of packaging. A label or a bottle and jar label starts at €149, a bag or pouch at €199 and a box at €249. A complete product line with one continuous system costs €499. The first variant is included; every extra variant or SKU we charge at €49.

I do not have a die line yet, can I still order?

Yes. Tell us which size, contents, closure and material you have in mind, and we draw the die line for €99. That is the construction drawing with the exact cut and fold lines your printer needs. If you already received one from your producer, we work on that and that amount is waived.

What exactly do you deliver to the printer?

A print-ready PDF on the die line, built in CMYK, with bleed and with the die line as a separate spot colour set to overprint so it does not print. If a brand colour does not come out well in CMYK, we put it in the file as a PMS spot colour. If your producer works with its own delivery specifications, send them along and we follow them.

Do you make sure my label meets the legal requirements?

We design the placement and the legibility, you remain responsible for the content. In practice that means: you supply the final product name, ingredient list, allergens, net quantity, best-before date and producer details, and we make sure they fit, that the allergens stand out and that the text stays large enough. Want us to put that list next to your design once more before it goes to the printer? Then you add the mandatory elements checklist for €99. That is a design check and no substitute for legal or food safety advice.

Do I need a barcode, and do you arrange it?

If you want to be in shops or sell through large marketplaces, an EAN is almost always required. Those numbers are issued by GS1 and you apply for them yourself in your own company's name, so the code is really linked to your brand. Send us the number and we place the barcode at the right size with enough white space around it so a checkout scanner reads it.

I sell three flavours. Does that mean three designs?

No, we build one system in which the flavours differ at a few agreed points: a colour block, an illustration or a pictogram. The rest of the structure stays identical, so the line reads as one brand on the shelf and your customer recognises your second flavour right away. Expanding later is easy too, because the structure is already set.

Can you refresh my existing packaging without regular customers losing track of it?

Yes, that is a separate direction in the order form. You indicate yourself what has to stay recognisable: the logo and brand name, the main colours, the fixed layout, the illustrations or the packaging shape. Around that we tidy up. The gain is usually in calm: fewer loose text blocks on the front and a clearer difference between brand name, product name and variant.

Do you have a printer too, or do I have to find one myself?

Both are possible. If you have a producer, we coordinate the delivery requirements directly with them. If you do not have one yet, we help you look and request quotes from €149, based on your expected quantity and your requirements, for example recyclable material, food-safe or production within Europe. If you only want the design, we deliver the files and you take them to the party you choose.
