Frequently asked questions
What does website maintenance cost with you?
The platform subscription starts at €29 per month with the Start package. That includes hosting, SSL, backups, monitoring, your .nl domain, the customer dashboard and the technical updates. Growth costs €99 per month and adds small monthly website changes and social posts, Plus is €199 and Pro €299 per month. For multiple websites, brands or locations with an SLA, Enterprise starts at €499 per month. In the configurator your own amount updates before you commit to anything.
What exactly happens during a maintenance round?
First we prepare a fresh backup. Then we install the available updates for the system, the modules and the security components. Next we check the pages where the money comes in: does the site load, do the forms send, does the payment or booking screen still work. If an update goes wrong, we restore the previous version and find out which module causes the clash.
Do you also maintain a website you did not build?
Yes, after a technical check beforehand. We look at which system runs underneath, how far behind the components are, where the site is hosted now and who is registered as the holder of the domain. From that follows whether we can take it over as is or whether something has to be resolved first. Rebuilding to switch is not necessary; we request our own administrator account plus access to the hosting and the domain.
Can the subscription be cancelled?
Yes, monthly. The .nl domain belongs to the subscription as long as it runs, so when you cancel we agree where your domain and your files go. You do not have to wait until the end of an annual contract to change something.
What happens if my site goes offline?
Monitoring is part of every package, so we get an alert as soon as your site stops responding. In practice it is usually the server, an expired certificate or an update that went wrong, and we can fix that ourselves. If the cause lies outside us, for example a DNS change made elsewhere, we find out where it goes wrong and tell you what needs to happen.
Can I still change things on my site myself?
Yes. Copy, photos and prices you edit yourself in your site's admin area. For what you would rather not do yourself, such as an extra page, a field in a form or a change in the layout, you use the small monthly changes that are part of the subscription from Growth. If you are on Start, you request such a change separately.
Why are social posts part of a maintenance subscription?
Because a site that is technically in order but shows nothing new for a year delivers little. From Growth we create and schedule four posts per month and set up your social and analytics accounts for you, and in Plus that is eight. If you only want the technical part, Start is the package.
How many email addresses do I get with the subscription?
A general address such as info@yourdomain.nl is included. Every extra address costs €1 per month, for example sales@, administration@ or your own name. A mailbox is 5 GB as standard; 25 GB costs €2 per month extra and 50 GB €4. You choose the addresses when configuring your subscription.
