Frequently asked questions
What does a transport platform cost?
On request. It makes a big difference whether you only need route planning and a driver app, or also warehouse management, tariffs per customer and integrations with your clients' systems. We do an intake, ride along for a day and then deliver a design with a price per phase.
How long before we drive with it?
Four to six months for a working first version with planning, driver app and digital sign-off. We first put that on part of your fleet, usually one round or one region, and expand as soon as that runs for a few weeks without hassle.
What if the driver has no signal on the road?
The app simply keeps working. Scans, signatures and photos stay on the device and go to the system as soon as there is a connection again. At the office you see from the timestamp when something really happened, and not when it came in.
Can we connect with our clients' systems?
Often, yes. Larger shippers work with fixed message formats for orders and status notifications, and we can connect to those. For smaller customers a portal or an automatically imported file works better. In the intake we go through per client how that traffic runs now.
Does this replace our on-board computers?
Not necessarily. If you have on-board computers with a usable integration, we take driving times and positions from them and you simply keep them. If you drive with separate phones, the app does that work. What we advise against is two systems side by side in which the driver has to enter the same thing twice.
Who owns the software?
You do. Source code, servers in your name, no licence per vehicle or per driver. With growth that is the biggest difference from a subscription package: from twenty to forty vehicles changes nothing about what the software itself costs.
How do you handle the data of our customers and drivers?
Shipment and customer data sit on European servers, encrypted and with daily backups. For drivers it is more sensitive, because location data is personal data. We define what you register, how long you keep it and who may view it, and we do not build in more tracking than you have a concrete reason for.
