Frequently asked questions
What does a business platform cost?
On request, and we mean that seriously: the spread is wide. A platform that covers one process for twenty employees is a different project from an environment that ties four departments together. We first do an intake and a process round of a few days. That results in a design with a price per phase, and that document is yours, even if you decide not to continue with us.
How long before we can work with it?
The first component is usually live within two to four months. A complete platform across several departments runs over a year or longer, in phases. Per phase we agree what is delivered and what it costs, so after every phase you can decide whether to continue.
Can we keep our current software?
Often, yes, and that is usually wise too. An accounting package that works fine we do not replace; we connect to it. The same goes for your payroll system or your webshop. The platform becomes the place where the work sits, and the surrounding systems fetch what they need from there.
What if our process changes in two years?
Then you adjust the platform. Many things we set up as a setting, so you can add a new order type, an extra status or a different calculation rule yourself. For larger changes you come back to us or to another developer, because you are not tied to anything.
Who owns the code?
You do, including documentation and the setup of the servers. There is no licence on it and no price per user. If you want to place maintenance elsewhere, that is possible and we hand over properly.
What about the data of our customers and employees?
Everything sits on European servers with encrypted connections, daily backups and a recovery procedure we actually run once. For staff data we define who may view it and how long you keep it. You get a data processing agreement and an overview of where which data is stored.
Our people are not really computer people. Will that work?
That largely determines whether the project succeeds, so we design for it. Screens for the shop floor get big buttons, few fields and no jargon. In between we test with the people who have to work with it, and at delivery we give instruction on site instead of a manual by email.
